Glenglassaugh Sandend is a single malt bottled at 50.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It takes its name from the crescent-shaped beach at Sandend Bay, which can be seen from the distillery.
The whisky is matured in bourbon, sherry and manzanilla casks.
The nose is soft, with buttery vanilla ice cream, tropical fruit and chocolate, plus a touch of sea salt. On the palate, salted caramel meets a burst of pineapple, cherry and grapefruit, lifted by a coastal freshness.
