Glenglassaugh – Sandend (70cl, 50.5%)

This is a single malt Scotch from Glenglassaugh in the Highlands, bottled at 50.5% in a 70cl bottle. It takes its name from Sandend Bay, the crescent-shaped bay near the distillery. The whisky matured in a combination of bourbon, sherry and Manzanilla casks. It is bottled without added colouring and is not chill-filtered. The nose is soft butter and vanilla ice cream with tropical fruit, chocolate and a hint of sea salt. On the palate come waves of salted caramel with bright notes of pineapple, cherry and grapefruit, with a maritime character underneath.
