Glenglassaugh – Sandend (70cl)

Glenglassaugh Sandend is a single malt from the coastal Glenglassaugh distillery, on the eastern side of Sandend Bay in Aberdeenshire. It belongs to the distillery's core range, which has a new look and takes its name from the crescent-shaped beach beside the distillery. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was aged in bourbon, sherry and manzanilla casks, which bring tropical sweetness with accents of sea salt. The colour is summer gold. The nose is soft buttery vanilla ice cream with tropical fruit, chocolate and a touch of sea salt. The palate brings salted caramel with pineapple, cherry and grapefruit, lifted by a seashore freshness.
