Glenglassaugh – Serpentine Coastal Cask #1863 48 Year Old (75cl, 46.1%)

Glenglassaugh Serpentine Coastal Cask #1863 is a 48 year old single malt Scotch, bottled at 46.1% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It comes from The Serpentine Coastal Cask Collection, drawn from casks found in the distillery's coastal warehouses when it reopened in 2008 after a closure of nearly twenty years. Master Blender Rachel Barrie selected each cask for the collection. This one was matured in an Aleatico red wine barrique. The nose is soft blueberry, peach and tamarind over meringue and lightly salted pistachio cream. On the palate come blackberry, lychee and raspberry with passionfruit and sea salt.
