Glengoyne 10 Year Old is an unpeated Highland single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle.
The barley is air-dried rather than smoked, and the distillery describes its distillation as the slowest in Scotland. The whisky matures mainly in refill and first-fill bourbon casks.
The nose offers green apple, buttery toffee, honey and a light cereal note, with gentle vanilla. On the palate, crisp apple gives way to soft oak, sweet almond, toffee and honey, with a little grassiness and sweet liquorice. The finish is medium, warm and malty, with almond and soft oak fading.
