Glengoyne – 10 Year Old Scotch Whisky (75cl, 43%)

A ten-year-old Highland single malt from Glengoyne, bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle. It was matured in a mix of casks: 15% first-fill European oak sherry, 15% first-fill American oak sherry and 70% hand-selected refill oak. The barley is dried by air rather than peat smoke, so the malt is unpeated. It is bottled at natural colour and is not chill-filtered. The distillery's tasting notes describe fresh green apples, toffee and a hint of nuttiness on the nose. The palate is clean, with fresh-cut grass, soft oak and a touch of sweet liquorice, leading to a sweet, malty finish.
