This is a 15 year old Glengoyne, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2023 at 57.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is The First Edition, matured in a refill hogshead that yielded 319 bottles.
Glengoyne is described as the slowest-distilling distillery in Scotland, which is said to give a soft, rounded whisky.
The aroma is sweet and full, with cinnamon and caramel. On the palate come red fruits, plums, raisins and caramel, and the finish is long, with a touch of ginger and toffee.
