A 17 year old Highland single malt from Glengoyne, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. The distillery stands on the highland side of the divide, while its warehouse, where the casks mature, is on the lowland side.
The nose offers poached pear, stem ginger, Christmas pudding and sherry-soaked raisins. The palate is more honeyed, with oaky spices building while staying close to a rich dried fruit sweetness. The finish brings dates, almonds, nutmeg, peppercorn and sultanas.
