Glengoyne – Cask Strength Batch 8 (70cl, 59.2%)

Glengoyne Cask Strength Batch 8 is a Highland single malt bottled at 59.2% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtering. It was matured in first-fill European and American Oloroso sherry casks alongside refill and bourbon casks, and the distillery describes it as the taste of Scotland's slowest distillation. The whisky is amber-gold. On the nose there are apple, peach and vanilla, with nutmeg, digestive biscuit and white chocolate. The palate is full-bodied, with fresh banana, caramel popcorn and butter, and the finish is very long, with soft oak and summer fruits.
