Glengoyne Legacy Chapter Three is a single malt bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It is the last release in the Legacy trilogy and honours Sir Arthur John Tedder, who helped shape the rules by which Scotch whisky is made today.
The whisky was matured in a mix of casks: 22% new bourbon, 32% American oak sherry, 8% European oak sherry and 38% carefully chosen refill sherry and bourbon casks.
The nose brings red apples, spice and vanilla. On the palate there is gentle spice, reminiscent of freshly baked ginger biscuits and apple tart, and the finish turns to preserved fruit, dark chocolate and more spice.
