Glengoyne – Teapot Dram - First Fill Oloroso Sherry Casks - Limited Batch No.011 is a single malt whisky from Glengoyne (Highland). Bottled at 59.7% ABV, 70cl. Glengoyne Distillery, established in 1833 and situated on the Highland–Lowland boundary north of Glasgow, is known for its unhurried approach to whisky-making, including the use of slow-dried, unpeated malt and lengthy fermentation times. The distillery is operated by Ian Macleod Distillers Ltd. The Teapot Dram takes its name from a tradition whereby Glengoyne workers were given three drams a day from a first fill sherry cask; any left undrunk would be poured into a teapot in the kitchen to be saved or shared later. This Limited Batch edition (No.011) honours that tradition, vatted from a small number of First Fill Oloroso Sherry Casks and bottled at cask strength, 59.7% ABV, without chill-filtration.
