Glengoyne The Legacy Series Chapter Two is a Highland single malt bottled at 48% in a 75cl bottle, un-chill-filtered and of natural colour. It honours Peter Russell, chairman and founder of Ian Macleod Distillers, which bought Glengoyne in 2003.
The whisky was bottled in September 2020. It combines first-fill bourbon barrels with first-fill European and American oak sherry casks and hand-selected refill oak. The barley is unpeated and air-dried.
The notes describe apple crumble and honey-drizzled toast, then green grape and gentle spice. The finish is long, warming and syrupy, with sweet oak and dates.
