Glengoyne – White Oak Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (2024) (70cl, 48%)

Glengoyne White Oak is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 48% ABV. It is a new addition to the Glengoyne core range and a first for the distillery, inspired by the winter journey of geese across the Atlantic to America and by American oak, Quercus Alba. The whisky is matured only in first fill bourbon casks and virgin oak casks from North America. The casks are charred for less than a minute, which lets the Glengoyne spirit come through unmasked. The nose is vibrant wood and bright citrus, with unripe banana and a hint of violets. The palate is soft and playful, with creme brulee, fruit gums and pineapple, and the long, smooth finish tastes of toffee apple.
