Glengyle – Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 6 (57.4%)

Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 6 is the sixth bottling in a limited special edition from the Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown. It is bottled at a cask strength of 57.4% ABV, unfiltered and without added colour. The whisky was matured 75% in ex-bourbon casks and 25% in ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The nose is fresh citrus, toasted rhubarb and marshmallow, with bonfire smoke. The palate is powerful and intense, with grilled fruit and brown sugar, and mineral notes. The finish is long and well balanced, with smoke, oatmeal and a savoury touch of Parma ham.
