Glenkinchie The Floral Treasure is a 27 year old Lowland single malt from Diageo's Special Releases 2023, a limited edition under the "Spirited Xchange" title. It is bottled at its natural cask strength of 58.3% in a 750ml bottle.
The whisky matured in refill American oak barrels and European oak butts. Glenkinchie, near Edinburgh, is nicknamed "The Edinburgh Malt".
The nose offers elderflower, cookie dough, peaches in syrup and toasted almonds. On the palate, oak spice sits over orchard fruit and citrus with a sweet vanilla note. The finish is long and delicately floral.
