The Glenlivet 12 Year is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The distillery was founded in 1824 by George Smith.
The whisky is distilled from malted barley in copper pot stills and matured for at least 12 years in European oak casks, then American oak casks. Its water comes from Josie's Well, fed by the River Livet.
Honeysuckle, orchard fruit and pineapple lead the nose. The palate is silky, with vanilla custard, pineapple, cocoa and dried fruit. The finish is medium and creamy, with marzipan, hazelnut and vanilla.
