Glenlivet 12 Years Double Oak is a twelve-year-old Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV.
It is matured first in traditional oak and then in American oak casks, which add notes of vanilla and a distinctive smoothness. Water from Josie's Well is used for mashing and fermentation, and the height and width of the copper stills give a delicate yet complex character.
It is usually described as smooth, fruity and complex.
