Glenlivet 18 Year Old Batch Reserve Year of the Dragon is a Speyside single malt released to mark the Lunar New Year. It is bottled at 40% and is a limited edition.
The whisky was matured in first and second-fill American oak together with ex-sherry casks.
The nose is ripe apples, dried apricots and hints of blackberry, with cinnamon and clove warmth. On the palate there are butterscotch, toasted almonds and honeyed pears in a creamy, silky texture. The finish is medium to long and warming, with sweet spice and vanilla.
