A Glenlivet single malt distilled in Speyside in 1946 and bottled by the independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail at 40%, in a 70cl bottle. It matured in sherry casks and is of natural colour. The historic label carries the name George & J.G. Smith's and shows a reclining lion. It is part of the Distillery Labels range and the Rare Vintage collection from Gordon & MacPhail. The nose shows fresh summer fruit and citrus with sweet spice and vanilla, with floral touches. On the palate, fruity sweetness meets a gentle vegetal note and fresh herbs, with a rounded body, light smoke and a hint of oak. The long finish ends with honey sweetness and a subtle woody note.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
