This Glenlivet from Speyside was distilled in 1974 and matured for about 36 years in a refill sherry butt before being bottled in 2011. It is a single cask release, cask 7700.
Gordon & MacPhail bottled it under the George G Smith label at 46%, in a 70cl bottle. Just 341 bottles were released. Some bottlings from a similar vintage came out at 43%, so this one is at the higher strength.
