Glenlivet – 1977 - Scott's Selection is a single malt whisky from Glenlivet (Speyside). Bottled at 54.2% ABV, 70cl.
The Glenlivet is one of Scotland's most celebrated Speyside distilleries, situated in the remote Livet valley in the eastern Highlands. It holds a distinguished place in Scotch whisky history as one of the first distilleries to obtain a licence under the Excise Act of 1823, and its single malts have long been regarded as quintessential expressions of the Speyside style.
This bottling was distilled at The Glenlivet in 1977 and selected for Robert Scott & Co.'s Scott's Selection range, which specialises in natural cask strength, unchillfiltered single malt releases matured in oak casks. The whisky is presented at natural cask strength without colouring or chill-filtration, and is supplied in the series' distinctive burgundy presentation box. Bottled in 2004.
