Glenlivet – 31 1994/2025 Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice Refill American Hogshead

This Glenlivet is a 31-year-old Speyside single malt, distilled in 1994 and bottled in April 2025 by Gordon & MacPhail as part of its Connoisseurs Choice range. It matured in a single refill American hogshead, and 126 bottles were filled. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. Citrus opens the nose, moving to pears in syrup with delicate blossom. The palate has rich honey, red apple and orange zest, with vanilla and a hint of lavender. The finish is long, with toasted oak and a mix of nuts leading to a dry close.
