Glenlivet Founder's Reserve (70cl, 40%)

Glenlivet Founder's Reserve is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It was created to celebrate George Smith, who set up the distillery in 1824. The whisky has been aged in traditional oak and American first-fill barrels, and carries the estery, floral character associated with The Glenlivet. The nose opens with dried fruits, then magnolia, apricot, orange zest, raisins and milk chocolate. On the palate, fresh pear stands out alongside star anise, banoffee pie, orange peel, cinnamon and sweet pastries. The finish is of medium length, with lingering soft spices.
