A 43-year-old Highland single malt from Glenlochy, a distillery that closed in 1983. It was distilled on 15 November 1979 and matured in a single hogshead until Gordon & MacPhail bottled it in January 2023 for the Private Collection.
Cask #3309 gave 141 bottles at 53.6% ABV, with no added colour and no chill-filtration.
The nose shows ripe fruit, cut grass and creamy chocolate with a fine note of sea salt. On the palate, smoky grass notes meet caramel, strong oak spice and a full, intense texture. The finish is long and maritime, with an elegant chocolate note.
