Glenlochy – 1980/2015 35 Year Old Rare Reserve #3231 Signatory Vintage (70cl, 48%)

This is a Glenlochy single malt, distilled on 6 November 1980 and bottled in December 2015 at 35 years old, in Signatory Vintage's Rare Reserve range. Glenlochy is a Highland distillery that closed in 1983. The whisky matured in a single hogshead, number 3231, and was bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. 71 bottles were filled. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose offers ripe yellow fruit, vanilla and malt with herbs and old oak. The palate is creamy with fruit, honeyed sweetness and fine spice over dry wood, and the finish is long, spicy and dry.
