Glenlochy 44 Year Old is a single malt from the Recollection Series of Gordon & MacPhail, which brings together whiskies from closed or long-silent distilleries. It was distilled in 1979 and bottled in 2024 at a cask strength of 53.2%, from cask 3312, in a 70cl bottle. Glenlochy was founded in 1898 beside the new West Highland Railway, which placed it well for sending whisky to Glasgow. Most of its output went into blends. The distillery closed in 1983 and was converted into a hotel. The labels and boxes of this third Recollection release carry artwork by the illustrator Bruno Mangyoku.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
