Glenlossie – 12 Year Old Artist Collective 2009 (70cl)

This is a 12 year old Speyside single malt from Glenlossie, bottled in the Artist Collective series in a 70cl bottle. It has a bright gold colour. The nose is rich and heady, with straw, green almond, candied lemon and acacia honey alongside pear, apple and pineapple. Green barley, green liquorice and vetiver follow. The palate is lively and sharp, moving between freshly cut grass and almond milk, then sage, verbena and chamomile. Rocket leaves with balsamic vinegar come through in the aftertaste. The finish is long and balanced, with juicy pear, lemon, dill and a malty bitterness, and mint and incense in the empty glass.
