Glenlossie – 1997 24 Year Old Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength (57.3%)

A Speyside single malt from Glenlossie, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength range. It was distilled in 1997 and matured for 24 years in a single first-fill Sherry butt, then bottled in April 2022 at 57.3%. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose shows clear Sherry influence, with rich candied fruit cake, cloves and ginger. On the palate come morello cherry and blackcurrant, backed by toasted oak and citrus peel. The finish is light but carries a long, lingering spice.
