Glenlossie – 2013/2024 11 Year Old 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Finish (70cl, 58.4%)

This is an 11 year old Glenlossie, distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2024 at 58.4% in a 70cl bottle. The distillate is light bodied, with floral and fruity notes. It was matured in a hogshead and then finished for more than three years in a first fill ex-Oloroso cask from the Hidalgo cooperage in Spain. That finish gives a softer side of ex-sherry, with more toffee and caramel character than the Christmas cake and dried fruit usually expected. It is described with notes of pastel de nata, black tea and orange zest.
