This is a 12 year old Glenmorangie single malt finished in Madeira casks, presented in the distillery's old label. The whisky was matured for up to 12 years in American oak casks, then racked into Madeira drums for several years.
The second cask is there to add complementary character to the Glenmorangie flavour without smothering it. The bottling comes out of the distillery's work with wood and the influence it has on the character of malt whisky.
