Glenmorangie 12 Year Old Palo Cortado Finish is a Highland single malt from the Barrel Select Release series.
It spent eight years in American white oak bourbon barrels, followed by four years in Palo Cortado sherry casks.
The nose is toffee, fudge and vanilla, with hints of moss, mulled wine, ginger, chocolate and cinnamon. On the palate come treacle toffee and milk chocolate with clove, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg, plus rye bread and salted nuts. The finish is long, nutty and spicy, with leather and a touch of aniseed.
