This is Glenmorangie 12 Year Old Port Wood Finish, a Highland single malt bottled in the 1990s. It comes in a 1-litre bottle at 43% and carries the original cream label. The whisky was matured for at least 12 years in oak casks, then finished in casks that previously held port. The finish was intended to bring richer fruit flavours and sweetness while keeping the light, floral and citrus-led character of the Glenmorangie spirit. It was part of the distillery's early range of wood-finished malts, alongside the Sherry Wood Finish and Madeira Wood Finish, and it predates the later versions without an age statement.
