This is Glenmorangie 12 Year Old Sherry Wood Finish, a Highland single malt bottled in the 1990s in a 1-litre bottle at 43%. The whisky was first matured in American oak casks, then finished in sherry casks, which add depth and richness to the typically light and fruity Glenmorangie character. It was one of the original wood-finished releases introduced in the 1990s, alongside Port Wood Finish and Madeira Wood Finish. The bottle has the traditional gold label, with its reference to the Sixteen Men of Tain.
