Glenmorangie 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the distillery at Tain, Ross-shire, bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is matured in three types of cask: ex-bourbon, Oloroso sherry and Burgundy wine.
Glenmorangie's stills stand 5.14 metres tall, among the tallest in Scotland, and the distillery pioneered wine cask finishing in Scotch whisky in 1994.
The nose combines honey, flowers, light toffee, orange zest and fudge. The palate brings burnt apple, candied nuts, dried fruit, vanilla and warming spice, and the finish is long, nutty and sweet.
