Glenmorangie The Quarter Century is a 25-year-old Highland single malt from the Prestige Range, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in ex-bourbon casks, with a portion in Oloroso sherry, and comes in a large gold gift box.
The nose is full of berry compote, stewed plums, dried fruits, chocolate, coffee and spice. The palate is rich with plums, cherries, apricots and honeydew melon, then creamy fruitcake and vanilla. The finish is long, with very slight astringency and lingering creaminess and dark fruit.
