Glenmorangie – A Midwinter Night's Dram (Old Version) (70cl, 43%)

A Midwinter Night's Dram is a festive limited edition Highland single malt from Glenmorangie, in its old version. It celebrates the tradition of the Master Distiller giving a special dram to the Sixteen Men of Tain at Christmas. The whisky marries ex-bourbon and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks and is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The nose has juicy raisin, red apple and orange peel, developing into cinnamon, almond and stroopwafel. The palate brings caramel and milk chocolate with hazelnuts and white pepper, with the fruit returning mid-palate under a candied glaze. The finish has orange peel, malted milk biscuits and lingering spice.
