Glenmorangie – A Tale of Spices (70cl, 46%)

Glenmorangie A Tale of Spices is a limited edition Highland single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and marries four cask types. The colour is a golden mustard. The nose is spicy, sweet and perfumed, with rose, carnation, jasmine and lilac alongside cumin, saffron, nutmeg, ginger, chilli and aniseed, plus sweet oak and chestnut. A few drops of water bring out delicate fruit, menthol and bread dough. The palate is full of ginger, black pepper and mustard seed, giving an earthy edge, softened by mint toffee, demerara sugar and praline almonds. A note of eucalyptus lifts it.
