Glenmorangie – A Tale of the Forest (70cl, 46%)

Glenmorangie A Tale of the Forest is a limited edition Highland single malt, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It is the first Glenmorangie made from barley kilned with woodland botanicals. Master Distiller Dr Bill Lumsden had the malted barley kilned with juniper, birch bark, heather flowers and wood herbs, recalling old Highland practice. The whisky was then matured in refill bourbon casks. The nose is green and floral, with juniper, coriander and pine. The palate is herbal, with eucalyptus, peppermint, orange zest and toasted hazelnut. The finish is crisp and aromatic, with herbal tea and citrus oil.
