Glenmorangie A Tale of Tokyo is a limited edition single malt inspired by the city of Tokyo. It is the first Glenmorangie to use Japanese Mizunara oak casks. Dr Bill Lumsden blended whisky partly matured in Mizunara with whisky from sherry and bourbon casks.
It is bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration, and it won a Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2023.
The nose has bitter cherry, orange peel and peppery spice, with incense, sandalwood and sweet oak. The palate brings orange zest, ripe cherries, cinnamon and black pepper. The finish is long, lightly dry and spicy.
