Glenmorangie A Tale of Winter is a Highland single malt from the distillery's annual limited edition A Tale Of... series. It spent 13 years in bourbon casks before a finish in Marsala wine casks from Sicily. The label is designed as a knitted sweater, a nod to the wintry theme. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings orange toffee, lavender honey and rose petals, with golden dried fruit, spiced apple cider and malt. On the palate are rich malt, dried fruit, caramel, dark chocolate and red wine fruit, with cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is long, with chocolate honeycomb, buttery croissants, apricot preserve and a little vanilla.
