Glenmorangie – Allta Private Edition (70cl)

Glenmorangie Allta is a single malt released for the tenth anniversary of the Private Edition series, in a 70cl bottle. It is the first Glenmorangie made using the wild yeast found growing on the Cadboll barley. Dr Bill Lumsden identified the yeast while gathering barley samples in the fields near the distillery, and set out to bring the two together. The whisky was aged in bourbon barrels, many of them second-fill, to show off the spirit's fruity character. Allta is Scots Gaelic for wild, pronounced al-ta. The whisky is described as rich, fruity, creamy and aromatic.
