Glenmorangie – Allta - Private Edition No.10 is a single malt whisky from Glenmorangie (Highland). Bottled at 51.2% ABV, 70cl. "Glenmorangie is Gaelic Gleann Mòr na Sìth ""vale of tranquillity"" or Gleann Mór-innse ""vale of big meadows"" and is located in Tain, Scotland. The distillery is owned by The Glenmorangie Company which is a subsidiary of Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy. There is another world-acclaimed distillery under this umbrella…Ardbeg of course. Glenmorangie's most famous characteristic is that it boasts the tallest stills in Scotland. Why is this important? Well at 8m tall and a neck of 5.13m, these are the secret to producing an extremely light and delicate taste. You can't mention the distillery without having to pay tribute to the “The Sixteen Men of Tain”, who worked tirelessly, in the early years for the distillery to be such a success." Glenmorangie have released Allta as their 10th release as part of the Private Edition. Allta has been created with their own wild yeast.
