Glenmorangie Allta is the tenth and final release in the Private Edition series, a Highland single malt at 51.2% abv in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered.
The name is Scots Gaelic for "wild". The whisky was made with a wild yeast strain found growing in Glenmorangie's own barley fields, and it was matured in ex-bourbon barrels.
The nose brings carnations, Parma violets, baking bread and honey, while the palate pairs crisp citrus with butter candy, vanilla and peppermint. The finish is long and earthy, with orange and gentle spice.
