Glenmorangie – Artein Private Edition 2012

Artein is the third release in Glenmorangie's Private Edition range, created by Dr Bill Lumsden, the distillery's Head of Distilling and Whisky Creation. This is the 2012 release, and it is non-chill-filtered. Stone runs through its story. The Hilton of Cadboll Stone, an ancient monument, was the inspiration, and the limestone that filters the Tarlogie Spring water is credited with its fruity aromas and layers of complexity. The spirit was given an extra maturation in 'Super Tuscan' casks, which add to that complexity and give a whisky of richness and depth.
