Glenmorangie Azuma Makoto 18 Year Old is a limited edition Highland single malt, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It was created in collaboration with the Japanese botanical artist Azuma Makoto, whose floral artwork decorates the packaging.
The maturation is the same as for Glenmorangie's Extremely Rare 18: fifteen years in ex-bourbon casks followed by three years in Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose brings dried fruits, geranium, jasmine, honeysuckle, orange zest and walnuts. The palate has honey, caramel, orange peel, nutmeg and ginger green tea. The finish is long and elegant, with soft oak and a lingering floral, honeyed note.
