Glenmorangie – Dornoch - Limited Edition is a single malt whisky from Glenmorangie (Highland). Bottled at 43% ABV, 70cl. Finished in amontillado Sherry Butts. Glenmorangie was established in 1843 beside the ancient Royal Burgh of Tain in Ross-shire, on the banks of the Dornoch Firth. The distillery takes its name from the Scottish Gaelic for 'Glen of Tranquillity' and is home to some of the tallest pot stills in Scotland. It has been owned by LVMH-backed Moët Hennessy since 2004. Glenmorangie Dornoch is a limited edition expression inspired by the natural environment surrounding the distillery. Matured in ex-bourbon American White Oak casks in Glenmorangie's traditional 19th-century Dunnage Warehouses, a proportion of the whisky was further extra-matured or finished in Amontillado sherry butts. Bottled at 43% ABV, this release was created in partnership with the Marine Conservation Society, with a donation from each bottle sold going towards the protection of the Dornoch Firth. The words 'Limited Edition' appear on the label as part of the bottling's own name.
