Glenmorangie Fino Sherry Wood Finish is a Highland single malt from Tain, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It comes from the distillery's Wood Finish range of the 1990s.
After a long maturation in American white oak, the whisky was moved into fino sherry butts for its finishing period. Fino is the driest of the sherries.
The nose is lightly caramel and winey, with cream crackers and soft brine. The palate is fuller and creamy, with complex spice and a note of chocolate liqueur. The finish is long, chocolatey, gently smoky and salty, with a prickling dryness.
