Glenmorangie The Quarter Century is a 25 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the Grand Vintage range, bottled at 43% abv in a 70cl bottle. It has been discontinued.
The whisky was matured in a range of casks, including American white oak, Oloroso sherry and French Burgundy casks, then blended back together in exact quantities. It is full bodied and multi-layered.
The nose is of dried fruits, including blackberries, cherries, plums and dates, woven with chocolate and coffee. The palate is big and full-flavoured, with deep forest fruits, blackberries and redcurrants, and bramble jelly. The finish is long and gentle, with brambles and warming spices.
