This Highland single malt from Glenmorangie is a collaboration between Dr Bill Lumsden, the distillery's Master Distiller, and the actor Harrison Ford. It is a limited edition, made from 100% Scottish malted barley.
The whisky was first matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks, then finished in toasted Portuguese red wine casks, which add spicy, tannic touches.
The nose offers citrus, orange marmalade, ripe peach and apricot, with honeysuckle and jasmine. The palate is soft, with butter, sugar, candied citrus, dark chocolate and yellow-fleshed fruit. The finish is long, with oak, leather, sweet spices and herbs.
