Glenmorangie – Infinita 18 Year Old (70cl)

Glenmorangie Infinita is an 18 year old single malt Scotch whisky, in a 70cl bottle. It spends its first fifteen years in American white oak casks. About 30% is then moved into Spanish Oloroso casks for a further three years, and the two parts are blended back together once both have reached 18 years. The sherry's raisiny sweetness is tempered by the nuttiness of the American oak. The expression is credited to Dr Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie's whisky maker. It is described as offering honey and caramelised orange, jasmine and lemon blossom, or warm figs and orange marmalade with wisps of campfire smoke.
